The main thing the iPhone has going for it is the software ecosystem. The iTunes delivery mechanism offers the easiest and most cost-effective developer to end user content delivery system in the world. It is THIS that is driving the whole iPhone revolution. Applications, Music, Video, Podcasts, Audiobooks. The hardware is secondary.
(Psssst don’t tell anyone but it’s just a mobile Mac that can make phone calls. Mac sales by stealth. Very slick. 🙂 )
